QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE FLOWSERVE TRANSITION OF THE JEMCO SEAL BUSINESS.
- What happens to any open Purchase Orders that I currently
have with Jemco Seal?
Any orders that have not shipped from Jemco to the customer will
be transferred to Flowserve. These orders will be shipped and invoiced
by Flowserve.
- How do I know who to pay?
If you receive an invoice from Flowserve, you should pay Flowserve.
If you receive an invoice from Jemco, you should pay Jemco.
- Will Flowserve be assuming responsibility for all of the
products that Jemco Seal purchased?
No. There are a few products that account for about 5% of Jemco’s
business that Flowserve will not assume. These are Teflon seals not
related to a mechanical seal, gaskets not related to a mechanical
seal, expanded PTFE sealing products, and mechanical packing. Coverage
of these products will be assumed by Eclipse Engineering, Inc. (Information
on the coverage for motor alignment shims will be forthcoming.)
- Will the current owners of Jemco Seal still be around?
Yes. Ken and Gary are on a retainer will Flowserve and will be very
much involved in the ongoing business.
- Will I still have the same salesperson covering my account.
Flowserve will be making great efforts to keep most of the sales
coverage intact.
